Jim was born in Aberdeen, Washington on January 10, 1932, and died on December 10, 2012, from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
Jim graduated from Aberdeen High School and served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the University of Washington. Jim retired after a successful 36 year career as Senior Vice President of Westinghouse Corporation.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; daughter, Tamara (Bill) Martin of Mill Creek, Wash.; sons, Ted (Diane) Proctor of Latrobe, Pa. and Tom (Amy) of Ottawa, Ill.; six grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He is also survived by a sister, Emma Pierce of Shelton and John (Gloria) Proctor of Soap Lake, Wash.
