Jennie Charolee Bodi-Moore (Clingen), 69, from Elma, went home to be with her loved ones on November 13, 2012, while surrounded by her children. All of us that love her know that she’ll be waiting for us when it’s time to join her.
She was born in Philomath, Oregon on August 23, 1943, to June and Walter Moore. She is the second of five children and the mother of three children. Jennie grew up in Philomath but eventually made her way to Elma about 32 years ago. She moved back to Oregon on a couple of occasions to care for her mother and again to care for her in-laws.
Jennie worked many jobs, from waitressing to a poultry processing plant, but eventually found herself working as an NAC with many responsibilities from Lead NAC, Social Services Assist., Med. Cert., and Clerical. She loved her job and always showed that love to the people that she cared for. She was also an amazing artist and had a magnificent singing voice.
Jennie is preceded in death by her parents; two siblings, Roy Moore and Judy Flores; her brother-in-law, Gary Kinney; and her eldest son, Kevin Eugene Bodi.
She is survived by two children, her son, Wayne Matthew (Theresa) Bodi and a daughter, Jennie Samantha (Jason) Coic both of Elma. She is also survived by a brother, Clayton (Judy) Moore of Redmond, Oregon; a sister, Norma Kinney of Corvallis, Oregon; and a sister, Marjorie Moore of Philomath, Oregon. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members that will greatly miss her.
A viewing for close friends and family will be held from 11am to 1pm on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma, 316 West Young. A small gathering will follow at the GuestHouse Inn & Suites, 800 East Main Street, Elma.
