Joseph David Wolfenbarger, 84, a lifetime Pacific County resident died on Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Willapa Harbor Care Center in Raymond. He was born August 23, 1928, in Willapa, Washington, to Joseph Peter and Nina (Sowers) Wolfenbarger.
Dave is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen (Gurr) Wolfenbarger; a son, William Joseph Wolfenbarger of Aberdeen; and two daughters, Cara L. (Keith) Shipley of Olympia and Phebe L. (Dennis) Porter of Raymond. He is also survived by granddaughters, JoDeana (Rick) Jones of Everett, Deborah (Clint) Jones of Lynnwood, Sharyn Wolfenbarger of Aberdeen and Denise (Bill) Rowlett of Raymond; grandsons, David Keith (Mitzie) Shipley of Shelton, Neil Aaron (Delphine) Porter of Los Angeles and Ryan Del (Donna) Porter of Westport; 7 great-grandchildren, RJ, Jacqui, Brittany, Tristan, Alyssa, Jessica, Steven, Harrison and Scarlett; and 5 great-great-grandsons, Brayden, David, Nathan, Reilly and Damien; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nina and Joseph; eleven brothers and sisters, Haskell, Leslie, Lydia, Bessie, Wilma, Ruby, Harold, Donald, Jean, Anita and Josephine; and a great-grandson, Sean Shipley.
Dave was a hard worker and worked for many companies and held many positions throughout his years including Weyerhaeuser, Gurr and Son General Contractors, Pacific County Commissioner, Shoreline Hearings Board, Pacific Air, Associated General Contractors, B.P.O.E., and a member of the Raymond School Board and the Willapa Harbor Lions Club; also holding a partnership with GBW Invertments.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Raymond. Memorials may be made to the Raymond Ambulance Fund. Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond.
