Karen Louise (Jenna) Sawyer died in a car accident on February 18, 2013. She was 60 years old. Karen’s interests were her love for her family and her animals, 4 dogs, 3 horses, 3 goats, and several cats. Karen enjoyed helping her girls with 4H. She also loved her job at the Beehive Retirement & Assisted Living Community in McCleary helping the lives of the elderly in her care. Most evenings you might find her cooking up her favorite dishes on Facebook’s Café World but you wouldn’t find her in the kitchen. And don’t forget ELVIS!
Karen was born on December 19, 1952, in Aberdeen, Washington. She graduated from J.M. Weatherwax/Aberdeen High School in 1972. She married the love of her life, her husband Rick, in 1994.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Jenna in 2002. Karen is survived by her husband, Rick Sawyer, and their two daughters, Kyla (15) and Lacee (13) in Brady, Wash.; her mother, Helen Jenna of Montesano; sister, Rosalie Mitchell (Kameron) of Vancouver, Wash.; niece, Staci Machac (Eric) of Aurora, Colo.; nephew, Justin Brown (Jamie) of Boise, Idaho; step-children, Greg Sawyer, Patrick Sawyer & Melissa Sawyer of Satsop, Wash., Edward Sawyer of Brady, Wash. and Felicia Sawyer of Mena, Ariz.; and eleven grandchildren.
