Karen Louise Pavletich went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 21, 2013, after a two year battle with cancer. She never let it get her down, stayed active and enjoyed her family and friends to the fullest.
Karen married Mitchell Pavletich in 1960 and they have four children, Dean Pavletich, Teresa (Rick) Dean, Blake (Parker) Pavletich, Kate (Gary) Wakeman, Jack (Esther) Pavletich, and six grandchildren, Jordan, Rachel, Joey, Jack and Esther Pavletich and Jack, Jr.
She was very close with all her children and grandchildren; she loved all her friends and church friends.
When Mitch retired, they bought the “Old Hulbert House”. They enjoyed restoring it and made it the first Bed and Breakfast in Aberdeen. She loved to go to garage and estate sales and restore the things she found; it was her passion. She also loved watching her grandkids sporting events and productions.
Karen enjoyed cooking for the Grays Harbor Union Gospel Mission and giving to others. She loved teaching Sunday School at Our Saviors Lutheran Church and Harbor City Church. She thoroughly enjoyed the young people and cooked for Generation Church. Karen loved her Pastors Doug and Lois Cotton.
The family requests donations in Karen’s name be made to the Harbor City Church Building Fund, 1700 Cherry Street in Aberdeen, WA 98520.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at Harbor City Church, 1700 Cherry Street in Aberdeen.
