Larry Lowell “The Greek” Bryant, 89 years old of Aberdeen died at his home on Friday, September 27, 2013. He was born on May 19, 1924, in Spokane, Washington to Thomas Hilary and Emily Mae (Crocker) Bryant.
Larry served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946 during World War II. On September 10, 1943, he married Virginia G. Kelley in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
“The Greek” worked most of his life as a shingle sawyer in Oregon and Aloha, Washington and was very accomplished at his job. He worked as a sawyer from 1947 to 1988 and retired after 41 years.
He was the youngest of eleven children. He is survived by his wife, Ginger at the family home; sons, Larry (Connie) of Montesano and Gary (Kim) of Cosmopolis; a brother, Dale (Mae) of Aloha; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; three sisters; an infant daughter, Linda Ann and grandson, Kenny “K-Boy” Bryant.
His life revolved around his family, he shared his big kind heart with whomever he was around. He visited with family and friends at a reunion at Pacific Beach in July and he felt that this would take the place of any service. The family requests you love your family as he did and maybe the world would be a better place.
