LeRoy (Bud) Glenn Eagon, 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2013. He was born on December 2, 1921, to Harry & Ethel (Jacque) Eagon in Kirkland, Washington, with his formative years spent in Montesano.
His parents, brother, and sister preceded him in death. After graduating from Montesano High, LeRoy attended Edison Technical College and graduated as an electrician.
Bud joined the Navy in 1944 and was discharged in 1946. He retired as Chief Electrical Inspector for the city of Seattle, working from 1949 until his retirement 30 years later. He enjoyed his time with the Seattle and Satsop Banjo Clubs and was proud to be a life member of Yancey C. Blalock Masonic Lodge 265. He was a past master in 1972 and just celebrated 50 years with the Mason’s. LeRoy was also a life member of the VFW of Elma.
He was a very generous man with his time and talents, especially working with his hands. He loved being with his family and they shared many wonderful memories of his delicious Chinese dinners, spending time at the ocean, and razor clam digging in the very cold ocean water.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie; his three children, Jeff (Jeanie), Karen (Andrew Gough) and Carol (Steve McKillop); six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Remembrances can be made to the National Shingles Foundation at www.wzvfoundation.org.
