Leslie Laurane (Lemmon) Beerbower, a 40-year Grays Harbor resident, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia. Leslie was born April 3, 1962, in Coos Bay, Ore. to Richard Gale and Jean May (Ray) Lemmon. Leslie grew up and attended school in Cottage Grove, Ore., McCleary and Elma, Wash. Leslie met Kevin Beerbower in Elma, and they married in McCleary on June 24, 1988.
Leslie was the center of her family and used her many creative talents to make their home in Elma a warm and inviting gathering place for all, including her husband, children, brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, neighbors, and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her new grandson, Ethan.
Leslie shared with all her joy for arts & crafts, country music concerts, quad riding, hiking, camping, growing flowers, traveling, couponing, and attending bazaars. Leslie worked for MKA Greenhouse for over ten years before owning and operating Bloom-n-Sticks Greenhouse in Elma for the past eight years.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Kevin; her mother, Jean Lemmon; her sons and their families, Josh and Karisa Beerbower, and their son Ethan, Ryan and Wendi Beerbower, and Camron Beerbower. Leslie is also survived by her brothers, Terry Lemmon, Travis Lemmon and wife, Danielle; sisters, Nina Lemmon and Paula Lemmon. Her father, Richard Lemmon, preceded her in death.
Leslie was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2013, at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Satsop Cemetery.
