Lorraine Ann “Nana” Heath


Aberdeen resident Lorraine Ann “Nana” Heath passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. She was 74. Lorraine was born October 12, 1939, in Baltimore, Maryland to John and Ethel (Schaech) DeVaux.

Lorraine was raised in Baltimore and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in 1956.

On November 28, 1980, Lorraine married James E. Heath in Clinton, Iowa. He survives her at the family home.

Lorraine had also lived in Glen Burnie, Maryland and Clinton, Iowa before moving to Grays Harbor 9 years ago. She worked as a co-manager with her husband James at Leisure Manor Mobile Home Park.

Lorraine belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was an avid collector of antiques and collectables. She was also an excellent seamstress and baker. Her true love was spending time with her family and friends; Nana especially loved shopping with her two granddaughters, Kayla and Samantha.

In addition to her husband, James, she is also survived by her children, Roxanne Richardson and John Poisal both of Aberdeen and Jennifer Whitted of Redmond, Wash.; brother, John DeVaux; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Wishkah Valley Community Church. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
