Margaret Louise Blindheim Bennett, 78 years of age and a longtime Harborite, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 3, 1934, in Aberdeen to Amandus O. and Marie K. (Grebstad) Blindheim.
She was raised in Hoquiam and attended Emerson Grade School, Hoquiam Junior High School and Hoquiam High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1952.
Margaret worked at Pay & Save, Rite Aid, Carole’s Young Things and LaVogue’s Department Store.
Margaret L. Bennett’s survivors include, her husband of 55 years, George E. Bennett, at the family home in Hoquiam; her son, Ron (LeAnn) Bennett of Hoquiam; her daughters, Sandra (Jim) Brooks of Ellensburg and Sheryl (Brian) Roose of Aberdeen; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Marr of Hoquiam; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father; her mother; a brother, Arnold Blindheim; a sister, Olive Drugge and a step-daughter, Debra Christenson.
The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff’s of Harbors Home Health and Hospice and the Virginia Mason Oncology.
At her request there will be no funeral service.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
