Marilyn J “Grandma” Crowell

Marilyn was born on March 1, 1932, to Reginald Kinnaman and Evelyn Forbes in Copalis Beach. She passed away on November 13, 2012, at 80 years old. She married Perry Crowell Jr on April 15, 1955.

Marilyn graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1950, were she participated in the band and in basketball.

She taught Sunday school at Bethel Temple in Hoquiam for many years and was co-owner of Crowell Brothers.

Her many hobbies revolved around her family and friends, “She loved her grandchildren more than anything in her life.”-Perry Jr. She loved to play cards, gardening, the Mariner’s-especially Ichiro, Keno and Bingo and summers camping at Wynoochee.

Her greatest hobby was her grandchildren and their activities, she never missed them. She was their number one fan and she also made it a point to go to other children’s activities. She loved Saturday mornings at SpareTime Bowl with the junior program where she became Grandma to all of them. She loved to take the kids to Saturday afternoon movies or to skating, she couldn’t do enough for her kids. Becoming ill kept her from phyiscally being there but she always asked how the kids were all doing.

Grandma had a heart of gold and was always eager to help anyone and everyone she could. She will be missed by all who loved her but she will always have a special place in our hearts as we are all better people because of her.

She was the mother to MaryLou and Allan, Perry III & Barbie, Roscoe & Kathy and Keith & Marycel; grandma to Josh, Amyjae and Nick, Perry IV, CodyJoe and Kolby, Stanley, Sara and Ethan; and great-grandma to be to ? Lou. Sister to Russell, Gerald, Stanley, Pat and Libby.

It is a comfort to us all that she is now with her loving daughter, MaryLou.

There will be a celebration of life from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Aberdeen Eagles on Sunday, November 25, 2012.
