Marlin E. Rosbaugh Jr.


Oakville resident Marlin E. Rosbaugh Jr., 75, passed away at his home on Sunday, November 25, 2012. Marlin was born May 20, 1937, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Marlin and Marion (Hochstein) Rosbaugh Sr.

Marlin was raised in Johnstown and graduated from Dale High School. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1958-1977, he received the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and a Vietnam Distinguished Service Medal. During his enlistment he had lived in Japan and Germany.

On December 19, 1981, Marlin married Eunice “Kathy” White in Tacoma, Wash. She survives him at the family home in Oakville.

Marlin was a member of the Masons, American Legion and also the Eagles.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, he is survived by sons, Marlin Rosbaugh of Oakville and Edward Rosbaugh of Johnstown, Pa.; daughters, Wendy Woody of Winlock, Wash., Annette Ray of Seward, Alaska and Alicia Smith of Lacey, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Memorial donations in memory of Marlin are suggested to the Oakville Food Bank or Harbors Home Health & Hospice.

A memorial service with full military honors will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Oakville Grange.
