Max W. Durward was born October 15, 1926, in Olympia and died on January 16, 2013, in Gig Harbor. He was a logger and mechanic living and working in Camp Grisdale most of his career.
He is survived by his wife, Nina; son, Doug Durward and his wife, Kirsten Koop of Red Lodge, Mont.; daughter, Janice Crick and her husband, Scott Crick of Gig Harbor; brother, Bill Durward of Olympia; and 2 grandchildren.
Max was an outdoorsman to the core enjoying a life of hunting, fishing, and hiking and a story to go with each adventure. He was a great husband and father and a friend to all.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the Montesano Moose Lodge, 3 Monte Elma Rd.
