Michael Ray “Mike” Carrigan, 52, of Hoquiam, died on Monday, September 2, 2013.
Mike resided in Hoquiam most of his life, graduating from Hoquiam High School in 1979. After high school, Mike had worked for Mayr Brothers Logging for several years and then for Lamb Grays Harbor and A & B Machine. He owned and operated his own business for the past 12 years, working as a machinist.
Mike loved to spend time with family and friends. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Mike had a smile and laugh that entered the room with him and was ever present. Mike also enjoyed traveling with his wife Kim and working on his home. Mike was a member of the 40 Et 8 and Grays Harbor Poggie Club. His two sons were his pride and joy.
Mike married Cindy (Peak) Carrigan in 1982 and raised two sons, Kyle and Jacob. Mike and Cindy divorced in 2006.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kim (Williams) Carrigan at the family home. He is also survived by his sons, Kyle and Jacob, both of Ellensburg; parents, Glen and Barbara Carrigan of Moses Lake; brothers, Robert Carrigan (Martha) of Olympia and Tim Carrigan (Kathy) of Hoquiam.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at the Hoquiam Elks, 624 K Street, Hoquiam, Wash. with family and friends.
