Norris Gustof Kullander, 81, of Brady passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital. Norris was born on September 9, 1930, in Plentywood, Montana to C.W. and Mina (Miller) Kullander. When he was nine years old the family moved to Hoquiam where he attended school.
On August 12, 1951, Norris married Charlene Blanchard at Saron Lutheran Church in Hoquiam. She survives him at the family home.
Gus had worked as a carrier driver for Blagen’s Saw Mill and also drove log truck. He loved working on old cars and engines. In his younger years he enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the Montesano Moose Lodge.
In addition to his loving wife, Charlene; he is survived by two sons, Bruce (Pam) Kullander of Montesano and Chuck (Betty) Kullander of Elma; two daughters, Norene (Steve) Alexander and Connie Kullander of Seward, Alaska; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wheeler; and grandson, Rodney Norris Kullander.
A memorial service is set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Olympic View Grange in Brady.
