Philip George Tardanico, Sr., 74 years of age and a longtime Montesano, Washington area resident, died at his home in Montesano. He was born on February 22, 1938, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Frank and Veronica (Ryan) Tardanico. As a youth he attended the Catholic Church.
He was raised and attended school in the Boston area. He entered the service with the United States Navy on June 30, 1955, at Boston. He was honorably discharged on February 29, 1959, in California.
He resided in Boston, San Diego, Florida and Seattle where he had been a die caster at Boeing. He moved to his present home nine years ago. He liked to fish, paint and putter around with his projects.
Philip George Tardanico, Sr. is survived by two sons, Philip George Tardanico, Jr. of Hesperia, California and Frank Daniel Tardanico of Seattle; one daughter, Tina Marie Tardanico of Seattle; three brothers, Russell Tardanico and Daniel Tardanico, both in Massachusetts and Ronald Tardanico of Florida; one sister, Betty Meehan-Tardanico of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren and other relatives.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
Direction is by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam, Washington.
