Randolph Earl (Randy) Roberts

Randy Roberts died unexpectedly from complications of his medical condition on June 5, 2012, at his home in Seattle.

Randy, the son of Alvin and Evelyn Roberts, was born in Aberdeen, Washington, and grew up in the small Grays Harbor community of North River. His brother, Tom, is deceased. His brother, Leigh, lives in Olympia. The family moved to Montesano while Randy was in high school, and he graduated from Montesano High School. He later earned a degree in filmmaking from The Evergreen State College.

Randy spent much of his adult life in Seattle, although he moved back to Montesano to care lovingly for his parents in their declining years. He was passionate about cinema and live theater, and often attended the SIFF (Seattle International Film Festival). He developed several short subject videos, including a chronicle of stories featuring his North River pioneer grandmother, Neva Roberts.

Randy will be remembered for his enthusiasm for life and his generosity to friends, family and casual acquaintances.

A memorial service will be held at a future date, to be announced.
