Ronald Edward Mullins, 68 years of age and a longtime Neilton area resident, died on Monday, August 26, 2013, at his Neilton, Washington home. He was born on February 14, 1945, in Pound, Virginia to Edward and Elizabeth Mullins.
Ronald was raised and attended school in the Pound, Virginia area. He came to the Axford Prairie, Washington area in 1964.
He was married to Joan Emily Perry on November 15, 1968, in Neilton, Washington.
They resided in the rain forest area, Hoquiam and Neilton. He worked as a sawyer in local shake mills. From 1984 to 2004 the couple resided in Arizona. While in Arizona he worked as a maintenance man in casinos. He retired and they returned to Neilton where he had since resided.
Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was very fond of his kids and grandkids and loved spending time with them and teaching them everything he could.
Ronald Mullins is survived by his wife, Joan E. Mullins of the Neilton family home; a son, James Mullins of Hoquiam; his daughters, Emily Knudtson of Montesano, Peggy Collins of Yuma, Arizona and Loretta Mullins of Nebraska; two brothers, Ed Mullins and Larry Mullins both of Kingman, Arizona; three sisters, Ann Duncan of Central Park, Washington, Ina Smida of Baltimore, Maryland and Beatrice Webb of Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and other relatives.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at the Community of Christ Church in Neilton.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam, Washington.
