Roy Theodore Miller, age 50, died April 4, 2012, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, Washington, from complications of liver disease. He was born in San Diego, California, on December 27, 1961, moving to Hoquiam as a toddler.
He had worked in his grandparent’s seafood business in Hoquiam for many years before obtaining his CDL. He worked as a log truck driver until health issues forced his retirement.
Roy’s greatest love was his guitar, which he referred to as his wife, and singing. He enjoyed clam digging, camping, family gatherings and good times with his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl Stritmatter and Jim Miller. He is survived by his aunts, Barbara Bohanon of Ireland, Lyla Dinwiddie of Yuma, Ariz., Twila Lewis and Pansy Bray of Hoquiam, and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, April 28th, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Trio’s, 716 Simpson Ave., in Hoquiam, Wash.
