Scott A. Sanford of Aberdeen, Washington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington, surrounded by family and friends. Scott was born December 10, 1965, in Aberdeen to Fred and Alvina Sanford and raised in Hoquiam. He attended Hoquiam High School.
In 1991, Scott started dating Donna Radka and in 2005 Scott and Donna were married in Ocean Shores. Scott had many hobbies, but the ones he loved to do the most were hunting, fishing and playing baseball, especially with his sons, Cody and Matthew and his brother, Fred. He also enjoyed camping and anything outside, as well as going to the casinos and playing poker with his family.
Scott worked as a logger for 25 years until he had to change careers to become a longshoreman due to an injury.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Cody Radka and Matthew Sanford of Aberdeen; father, Fred Sanford Sr.; brother, Fred Sanford of North River; sisters, Trina and Becky Sanford of Alaska; grandmother, Elizabeth Williams of Aberdeen; uncle, Tom Sanford of The Dalles, Oregon; aunt, Bonnie Boling of Hoquiam; and many nieces and nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his son, Trevor; his mother; and grandfather.
He was loved and will be missed by many more family members. Special thanks to Bryan and Son Jewelry.
