Sharon Lynn Dziubak, 63 years of age and a longtime Pacific Beach area resident, died on Friday, August 3, 2012, at Providence Saint Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. She was born on December 30, 1948, in Seattle, Washington, to George Sherman and Marie (Neslund) Karbo.
She spent her early years in Tacoma and the family moved to Moclips, Washington in 1960 where she completed her basic education.
Sharon was married to Robert T. Dziubak on August 26, 1967, in Aberdeen and the couple made their home in the Pacific Beach area. There she had been a waitress at the Lighthouse Restaurant at Pacific Beach from the mid 1970’s to the mid 1990’s. She had also worked in the motel industry and as a caregiver.
In the 1990’s she attended Grays Harbor College for two years.
The couple had traveled to Portland, Oregon to visit relatives. They enjoyed their trips to Idaho, Montana and into Canada.
She enjoyed crocheting, and had studied cake decorating and flower arranging. Her grandkids were her greatest treasures.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Robert T. Dziubak of the family home in Pacific Beach; three sons, Robert P. “Robbie” Dziubak of Marysville, Washington, Jeffrey Scott Dziubak of Aberdeen and Michael Steven Dziubak of Elma; two brothers, Kenneth Ralph Karbo of Boring, Oregon and Ronald Warren Karbo of Aberdeen; three sisters, Phyllis Elaine Stafford of Hoquiam, Georgene Cranston of Portland, Oregon and Deloris Smith of Haysville, Kansas; four grandchildren and her mother-in-law, Olive Dziubak of Hoquiam.
The family requests donations be sent to Relay For Life, PO Box 202 in Aberdeen 98520.
A private graveside service of inurnment will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam.
Direction is by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam.
