Shirley Doris Pape was born on February 16, 1922, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of George and Florence Molde. She passed away on July 1, 2012, at the age of 90. Shirley had lived in Hoquiam for the last 5 years with her daughter, Judy Sherdahl; son-in-law, Eric; and grandson, Robert Sherdahl. They lovingly cared for her in their home, where she passed away peacefully.
Her family moved to Alameda, Calif. in the 1960’s. She lived there for about 50 years. Shirley was often seen riding her bike about town and on her way to work. She loved working as a nurses aide at Bayview Convalescent Hospital for 30 years. She was an unique free spirit and will be greatly missed.
Shirley is survived by her older brother, Jerry Molde, in St. Paul, Minn.; her daughter, Mary Schwier in Santa Clara, Calif.; her granddaughter, Jennifer Interian in Coral Gables, Fla. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Myrtle Trousdale; her husband, Gustav; and son, Charles Pape.
There will be a potluck celebration of life at The River of Life Fellowship, 308 W. King St., in Aberdeen at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012. 360-538-6602
