Stephen “Steve” Andrew Jones passed away on September 7, 2013, at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia at 49 years of age. Stephen was born March 30, 1964, in Aberdeen, Washington, to David and Laura (Gee) Jones.
In addition to Aberdeen, he also lived for a time in Port Orchard, Wash. as well as Great Falls, Mont. He worked for Arch Insulation & Glass where he was a roofer and insulator. He also did carpentry work. Later in life he became a chef and was honored to be able to prepare a meal for a Senator in Montana. He enjoyed working on cars, camping and loved the outdoors.
Steve married Teresa Berg August 2, 1992. She survives him at the family home. In addition to his wife, Steve is survived by two sons, Stephen Jr. and Michael Jones of Spokane, Wash.; a daughter, Patricia Jones of Tacoma, Wash.: a step-son, Michael Skinner and two step-daughters, Sabrina Skinner and Dawnell William all of Bremerton, Wash.; eight grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Jones and two sisters, Charlotte Grimblot and Linda Aldrich all of Aberdeen, Wash.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Jones of Oakville.
A funeral service with viewing will be held at Harrison Family Mortuary, 311 W. Market St. in Aberdeen at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013.
