Susan Mychelle Ames left her family and friends on April 13, 2013, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle at the age of 36.
Susan was born on April 14, 1976, in Livingston, Montana, to Steve and Patti Ames. They moved to Aberdeen in 1979 where she lived until her passing.
She attended Aberdeen High School, graduating in 1994. She also attended a year of college at Grays Harbor.
Susan worked as a nurses aid at numerous nursing homes, until a long time illness forced her to go on disability.
Susan loved watching her children, Tyler and Kelsey, and her nephews, Zandar, Kaleb and Carter play baseball every year. She played pool and was in many pool leagues. She also enjoyed racing and traveled to Yakima every year to watch the Sprint Car Races.
Susan is survived by her parents, Steve and Patti, of Aberdeen; children, Tyler and Kelsey, also of Aberdeen; brother, Doug (Jennyfer) Ames, of Montesano; grandparents, Pat & Jean Parker of Livingston, Mont. and Mary Ames, of Aberdeen. She is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles; many cousins; and three nephews. She also had three Tom’s in her life, which we all teased her about; Tom Morton, Tom Burke and Tom Kunkle will all miss her dearly, as well as many friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jaclyn; and her grandfather, Jack Ames.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Aberdeen with a potluck to follow at the 40et8.
