Teresa Riekkola-Poths passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at South West Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington, after a lengthy illness. Teresa was born on February 2, 1960, to Oliver and Colleen Riekkola of Aberdeen. She was raised in Moclips, where she attended grade school and high school. Teresa enjoyed athletics and was outstanding in track at North Beach High School of Moclips.
She earned her RN Degree in Vancouver, Wash., and worked at GH Community Hospital and St. Peter’s in Olympia.
She was divorced from Mike Crise of Taholah and remarried to Stewart Poths of Aberdeen and later divorced.
She is survived by her parents, Oliver and Colleen; sons, Stanley Crise of Los Angeles, Calif., Christopher and Benjamin Poths of Battleground, Wash.; sister, Karen (Doug) Hussey of Poulsbo; and brothers, Reginald and Randolph Riekkola of Moclips, and nieces Krista Riekkola of Puyallup, Rebecca and Rylee Riekkola of Central Park.
There will be a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Pacific Beach Community Church.
