Wally was born on January 29, 1960, in Missoula, Montana. He was the eldest son of Wallace E. Foster, Sr. and Mitzie Rutledge. His love of travel and aerospace led him to Albuquerque where he worked for Goodrich Aerospace until a sudden illness shortened his life. He was often known as the “Go to Guy” by his peers.
He married his high school sweetheart, Lori, and together they raised three wonderful children, Jamie, Jennefer and Craig. He willingly shared with them his love for travel, camping, fishing, photography, music, billiards and bowling. He especially loved learning and sharing his know how with others.
Wally was preceded in death by his mother, Mitzie Rutledge. He is survived by his wife, Lori of Sandia Park, N.M.; children, Jamie Foster, Jennifer Cormier and her husband, Joe, all of Albuquerque, N.M., and Craig Foster of Sandia Park; father, Wallace E. Foster, Sr. of Midwest City, Okla.; brothers, Kevin Foster of Belgrade, Mont., and Chuck Foster of Sheridan, Wyo.; sister, Vickie Blamoski and her husband, Michael, of Midwest City, Okla.; nine nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; one great-niece; and brothers-in-law, Jace Micheau of Aberdeen, Wash., Clay Micheau and his wife, Tami, of Olympia, Wash., and Greg Micheau of Elma, Wash.
There was a celebration of Wally’s life held on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the family home in Sandia Park, N.M.
