William “Bill” Mackey


January 15, 1955 - March 11, 2013

Bill Mackey 58, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on March 11, 2013. He was born on January 15, 1955, to Joseph and Peggy Mackey in Ketchikan, Alaska. He had attended the old Washington Grade School in Hoquiam. Bill graduated from Evergreen High School in Vancouver, Wash. in 1973. After school he had various jobs, eventually he got into the drywall business in which he worked for more than 30 years, the last 10 years with GTS Interior Supply.

Bill met Lynn in July 1981 and they married in August 1984. He was an avid fisherman and bird hunter.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lynn, of Vancouver; father, Joseph Mackey of Aberdeen; brothers, Joe (Roxy) of Battle Ground, Wash., Mike (Shannon) of Fernley, Nev.; sister, Colleen (Nathan) Harrison of Aberdeen, Wash.; numerous nieces and nephews; his dogs, Sheba and Max and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Mackey. Bill will be deeply missed by all.
