William “Bill” Morris Olson

William “Bill” Morris Olson passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 11, 2013, at his home in Montesano with his wife and daughter beside him.

Bill was born September 8, 1948, in Aberdeen, Washington, to Clarence and Maxine (Morris) Olson. He was raised in Cosmopolis and graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1966.

On December 27, 1968, Bill married Teresa Scott at the Montesano Methodist Church. She survives him at the family home.

Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had worked for the City of Montesano Parks Department for 30 years.

He belonged to the V.F.W. and the Montesano Moose. Bill enjoyed having coffee in the morning at the Bee Hive with “the boys”, camping, fishing, motorcycles, participating in car shows, gardening, supporting Montesano High School sports and sprint car racing. He especially loved hearing his daughter Morgan sing and also walking his dog Ace.

In addition to his loving wife, Teresa and daughter, Morgan. he is survived by his four brothers, Erik of Port Townsend, Arnie of Vancouver, Ray of Montesano, Greg of Olympia and sister, Sheela of Aberdeen.

Teresa and Morgan warmly invite you to join them in celebrating the life of an amazing dad, husband, brother, uncle and friend at 3:00 pm. on Friday, August 16, 2013, in the Montesano High School Gymnasium. A reception will follow in the Montesano Church of God Fellowship Hall. You are welcome to honor Bill by wearing your favorite baseball cap, and anything Montesano Bulldogs, Seahawks or sprint car racing related.
