Blessings in a bag

Lots of hurting folks out there, decent folk who lost jobs, the working poor and citizens caught up in bad times. Our fair city is no exception. Instead of giving money to the homeless on the corner holding a sign, save little things, granola bars, toothpaste, soap, helpful tidbits that could be put in a large Ziploc bag to give as “blessing bags” to the needy. Your children would benefit from witnessing an act of human compassion, something we all could use, especially during the holiday season.
