Thank you McDermoth family

In these days of so much violence and unrest, I thought that I would share a story about people caring for another person.

About 14 years ago I retired from teaching at McDermoth Elementary School. While I was there, we as a staff, were quite close. I have gone through a rather difficult period in my life in the last couple of years.

Earlier this month, many of the retired McDermoth staff and some who are still working gathered for a reunion. We drank homemade root beer floats and visited. Then I was presented with many home cooked meals for me to pop in the oven and cook. They knew that I can’t cook and wanted to help me out. Some staff who couldn’t make it sent food anyway. I don’t know that I have ever experienced anything more loving in my life.

I would like to list the names of all those involved, but I’m afraid I would leave some of them out. I want these people to know how deeply that moved me. It showed me that people still love and care for each other. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
