Too much information


Whatever happened to journalism’s cardinal rule of omitting names when a crime such as rape or incest involves minors?

I was aware of the Colley baby’s recent death but not of the sordid circumstances until I read it in The Daily World. The article left me with information I didn’t need to know but which will leave an imprint on my mind forever.

More important, until the drama plays out and justice is served, the grieving family and friends will no doubt have to relive the tragedy every time the details are again made public.

This is supposed to be a community paper, though you’d never know it with all the imported news and editorials. If those in charge were in touch with the pulse of this community, they might understand the need for kindness and consideration of feelings above the drive to sell papers.
