Why are we killing spartina?

In Willapa Bay and Grays Harbor well over $25 million in tax dollars have been used for over than 20 years to help chemically kill spartina, which is a major producer of oxygen. This “weed” is revered on the east and gulf coasts for its water purification and erosion slowing qualities. The chemical/corporate world is insane! Please call your elected leaders now and demand they stop supporting this obscenity! It’s not invasive but merely migrating due to climate change, which hopefully is something we all can believe in, now.
