All-Evergreen 1A girls

Four Grays Harbor players were named to the all-Evergreen 1A League girls basketball team.

Senior post Megan Finger, the leading scorer on Elma’s league championship team, was selected as the league’s Most Valuable Player.

She joined junior teammate Brooke Goldsmith, Montesano point guard Megan Choate and Hoquiam’s versatile Chelsy Stewart on the six-player first team, chosen from coaches’ all-opponent teams.

Hoquiam’s Chad Allan and Rochester’s A.J. Easley, whose teams tied for second in the league, shared league Coach of the Year honors.

Boys all-league and all-academic selections for both genders will be announced in Friday’s edition. The Evergreen 1A girls all-stars:
