CHEHALIS — Aberdeen’s Eric Hagen shot a second-round 80 to finished tied for seventh place to qualify for the state tournament at Wednesday’s District IV 2A boys golf tournament at Riverside Golf Course in Chehalis.
Hagen, who started with a 79 after Tuesday’s opening round, finished with a two-day 159. He was the lone Bobcat to qualify for next May’s state 2A tournament at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place.
Jordan Weiberg shot a second-day 88 to finish at 30th place in 178 and Justin Cox finished 36th at 188.
“Eric shot a great round to move on to next spring’s state tournament,” AHS head coach Harley Revel said. “Jordan had a consistent day for him.”
Hockinson’s Diego DeLaTorre won the district title with a two-day 138, 13 shots better than Black Hills’ Jake Shier. Hockinson also won the team title. Aberdeen finished seventh as a team.
