Montesano will man the dawn patrol in the state football semifinals on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (10-2) will face Mount Baker (10-1) in a state 1A semi scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.
That will be the first of four semifinal games at the Tacoma Dome on Saturday. Three other semis are planned for the same location.
The Montesano-Mount Baker winner will face either Royal or River View in the championship game Dec. 1 at the Tacoma Dome. That title contest is also scheduled for 10 a.m.
The unranked Bulldogs earned a return trip to the semifinals with a 17-7 upset of top-rated King’s on Saturday at Aberdeen’s Stewart Field.
Ranked eighth among state 1A clubs, Whatcom County League champion Mount Baker advanced to the semis with a 24-9 conquest of Trico League titleholder La Center on Saturday at Battle Ground.
