Loggers 21, Owls 11
MATLOCK — Bo Barber drove in six runs as Wishkah outslugged Mary M. Knight in a non-league game Wednesday at Matlock.
Barber came within a home run of hitting of the cycle. Gavin Baltzell delivered four hits, including three triples (Knight’s field does not have a fence) for the Loggers (2-8).
A 10-run fifth inning gave the Loggers a 14-4 lead. The Owls, who revived their baseball program this year following a long absence, prolonged the game by rallying for five runs in the fifth.
“It was a fun game,” Wishkah coach Travis Warren said.
The Loggers will close out their season by visiting Lake Quinault on Friday.

“We did a really good job of supporting Madi,” North Beach coach Maynard Reed said. “It was a real good comeback team effort after the disappointing loss at Naselle (on Monday).”

Karleena Walther drove in Taholah’s only run.
