Raymond to offer rooter bus

Raymond High School will again provide a free rooter bus for Saturday’s state football playoff game against LaConner at Mount Vernon High School.

The Seagulls will face the Braves in a Class 2B quarterfinal scheduled for 3 p.m. The bus will leave Raymond High School at 9 a.m.

Free softball hitting clinic due

Grays Harbor College will offer a free softball hitting clinic on Saturday at the college gym.

The camp is open to girls of all ages. Those in the 8-U through 12-U divisions will receive instruction from 10 a.m. to noon. The session for those in the 14-U through 18-U age groups is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m.

Grays Harbor College softball coach Tom Sutera is the camp director.

While there is no fee, pre-registration is encouraged. Each session is limited to 20 participants. Further information may be obtained by contacting Sutera at 538-2506 or via email at tsutera@ghc.edu.
