Morley bowls 300

Raymond’s Brian Morley finished off a big night during the Friday Night Mixed League at Rainier Lanes in Aberdeen by rolling a 300 game on Friday.

Morley bowled a 300 in his first game, then followed that with a 280 and 242 for an 822 series.

Monte junior high coach honored

Montesano’s Rob King has been named to receive the District IV Junior High/Middle School Football Coach of the Year Award.

King will receive the award, presented by the Washington State Football Coaches Association, at the state coaches association clinic on Jan. 25.

Poggie Club meeting Wednesday

The Poggie Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoquiam Elks Hall. Crab feed tickets will be available at the meeting.

Aberdeen Little League registration set

Aberdeen Little League registration will begin Jan. 19.

Registration sessions are planned from 9 a.m. to noon on Jan. 19 and Feb. 2 and from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 20. All sessions are planned for Aberdeen High School.

All players are required to provide a birth certificate and those 9 or or older must supply three proofs of residency (post office boxes will not be accepted). The registration fee is $45 for T-Ball and $65 for all other levels.
