Bobcat, Grizzly boys to clash again

The second Aberdeen-Hoquiam boys basketball game of the season is scheduled for tonight at Hoquiam Square Garden.

The Grizzlies own a 3-1 record while the Bobcats are 1-3 entering the contest. Hoquiam won last Friday’s first meeting, 63-41, at Sam Benn Gym.

The varsity tipoff is planned for 7:30 p.m.

Rec Cup soccer tourneys conclude

Four Grays Harbor teams will compete in the semifinals and finals of the Recreational Cup soccer tournament this weekend at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila.

The Montesano Renegades will face the Hawks of Pierce County in a girls U-13 semi scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday on Field No. 3.

Also on Saturday, the Harbor Sounders face the Nortac Cobras in a boys U-14 semifinal at noon on Field No. 1 and the Harbor Crushers U-18/19 team opposes the FWSA Thunder at 3 p.m.

The Harbor Youth Soccer Club Chivas faces the J’97 Lightning at 9 a.m. Sunday on Field No. 2.

In all cases, the semifinals and finals will be played on the same day.
