Elma Babe Ruth registration set

Elma Babe Ruth baseball registration is scheduled from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elma branch of Our Community Credit Union. Sign-ups are open to boys in the 13-15 age group.

League tryouts are planned March 9 at the Elma High School field. Those will run from 10-11:30 a.m. for 13-year-olds and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those in the 14-15 age groups.

Rec volleyball deadline nears

The registration deadline for the Aberdeen Parks & Recreation Department’s women’s volleyball league has been set for Friday.

Each team will play two games apiece on Monday nights for eight weeks. The registration fee is $531.16 (including tax) per team.

Poggies to meet Wednesday

The regular meeting of the Grays Harbor Poggie Club is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoquiam Elks Hall.

Softball umpires to gather

The Grays Harbor Softball Umpires Association will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the upstairs portion of Top Foods Grocery in Aberdeen.
