Grays Harbor’s Britt honored

Grays Harbor College’s Bobbi Britt received the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award for her performance last week.

One of only two players in the conference to be averaging more than 15 points and 10 rebounds per game, Britt attained her 10th double-double of the season in Wednesday’s loss to Tacoma.

The 5-foot-8 freshman from Anchorage, Alaska was honored primarily in helping the Chokers to upset Lower Columbia last Saturday. She scored 20 points and had 14 rebounds in that contest.

The first preseason meeting of Harbor Babe Ruth is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday in the conference room above the commons area at Aberdeen High School.
