Bearcats to play

in afternoon

The Kitsap Bears-Grays Harbor Bearcats football game, originally slated as a night game, has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Stewart Field, Bearcats co-owner Chris Raffelson announced Monday.

The time change is to avoid a schedule conflict with the Aberdeen High School boys soccer team, which will host a district playoff game against an as-yet undetermined opponent Saturday night.

Forks-Elma

soccer canceled

Elma will receive a forfeit from Forks in an Evergreen 1A League boys soccer game scheduled for tonight at Davis Field.

Forks canceled the game due to a shortage of players. The Eagles will travel to Montesano on Thursday and host a district play-in contest Saturday, Elma athletic director Rick Rakevich reported.

Raceway program rained out

Saturday’s racing program at Grays Harbor Raceway was postponed due to rain. Qualifying had just been completed when showers forced a half.

Racing is scheduled to resume Saturday, with competition in the 360 sprints, modifieds and midgets.
