The Aro Glass Clubbers of Grays Harbor captured the 60 and over division of the Roc at the Rac Men’s Slowpitch Tournament last weekend at the RAC complex in Lacey.

After gaining the unbeaten berth in the title round, Aro lost to the Enviro Marauders, 21-18, in the first championship game, but turned the tables, 24-20, in the winner-take-all second title contest.

The Clubbers advanced to the final by beating the Marauders, 22-21, Stage Coach, 18-14, and Bend Thunder, 19-15.

Aro’s Larry Lytle, who batted .766, received the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award. John Delia and Bob Paylor, who each hit .708, earned all-tournament recognition.

Mike Hatley batted .600, Wayne Ross .592 and Don Mehlhoff .571 for the tourney. Team members thanked their longtime sponsor, Aro Glass.
