Centralia jayvees beat Bobcats

Centralia downed Aberdeen, 33-14, in a junior varsity football game Monday at Centralia.

Austin Kerrigan returned a fumble 55 yards for a touchdown, while Joel Dublanko added a 5-yard TD run for the Bobcats. Kerrigan was cited by Bobcat coach Joe Fagerstedt for chasing down a ball-carrier, stripping the ball and recovering a fumble on the Bobcat 1-yard line. Dublanko, Cody Johnson and Grant Bowley also were cited for fine play.

300 game bowled at Shores Bowl

Aberdeen’s Dino Blackburn recorded his second career 300 game during the Scratch Trios League at Shores Bowl in Ocean Shores on Monday night.

Blackburn bowled the 300 in the second of a three-game series.

Fastpitch tryouts planned Sunday

The Grays Harbor Force 10-U and 12-U fastpitch softball teams have scheduled tryouts for 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bishop Athletic Complex in Aberdeen.

Knight sports booster dinner planned

The Mary M. Knight sports boosters have scheduled a harvest dinner and auction for Saturday at the high school commons area.

The dinner, which includes baked ham, mashed potatoes, applesauce, salad, rolls with homemade preserves and a potluck dessert buffet, begins at 5 p.m. The auction will follow.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Mary M. Knight athletic program. A suggested donation is $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and elementary-aged children.
