Elma Lanes owner competes nationally

Henry Dawson, owner of the Elma Lanes, had a pretty busy bowling summer, finishing first in a national tournament and in the top 30 in another.

At the Storm Bowlers Journal tournament at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev., which was five months long and scores can be posted until the final day, Dawson paired up with Cincinnati’s Brian Himmler to win the tournament’s open doubles division by one pin. Dawson and Himmler split the $7,500 prize.

In July, Dawson finished 27th overall at the USBC Senior U.S. Open tournament at Las Vegas, Nev.
