Fundraising run due Saturday
A fundraising run on behalf of Aberdeen High School senior cross country runner Poli Baltazar is scheduled for Saturday at Makarenko Park in Cosmopolis.
Sponsored by the Aberdeen Cross Country Supporters, the event will begin at 11 a.m. It will include 5-kilometer and 1-mile runs and a 1-mile walk.
Proceeds from the event will be used to defray Baltazar’s expenses at the Foot Locker Western Regionals on Dec. 1 at Walnut, Calif.
The entry fee is $15 and donations will also be accepted. Registration begins at 10 a.m.
No evening results
Due to an early pre-holiday deadline, results for Tuesday night events will not appear in today’s edition. Late scores will appear in Thursday’s Daily World.
