Cougar, bear specialist to speak at Outdoor Expo
Richard Beausoleil, the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife cougar and bear specialist, will host a presentation during the April 20-21 Grays Harbor Outdoor Expo at the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds in Elma.
The presentation, “Up Close And Personal with Cougars in Washington,” will talk about the issues of problem cats and perceived population issues, among other things.
Beausoleil’s work with Fish & Wildlife has shaped the department’s policies toward cougars and bears. His work was also featured in a Washington State University publication regarding cougars and hunting policies.
The presentation is sponsored by the Elma Game Club.
