The fundraiser for the Elma High School football program will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start and all teams must be at the course for registration by 8 a.m.

The entry fee is $40 per person or $160 per team, including green fees, team prizes for the top-six teams and a BBQ lunch at the old clubhouse following the tournament.

Teams and players can pre-register for the tournament at the Oaksridge Golf Course pro shop at (360) 482-3511.

Kingma leaves WSU basketball team

Washington State confirmed that former Oregon Ducks basketball player Brett Kingma, who redshirted at WSU this past season, is no longer with the Cougars.

Kingma, a guard who walked on at WSU after seeing limited action as a scholarship player at Oregon in 2011-12, had hoped to obtain a scholarship for 2013-14.

Kingma averaged 25 points per game as the Washington Class 4A Player of the Year at Jackson High School in 2010-11.
