Three Harborites earn all-state softball honors


Three Grays Harbor players were named to the Class 1A softball all-state tournament team announced this week.

Montesano outfielder Bobbi Fry, Bulldog catcher Courtney Swan and Hoquiam infielder Kayla Hilliard were included on the 11-player first team, compiled by coaches participating at the state 1A tournament.

Elma’s Brooke Goldsmith and Regan Wollen and Montesano’s Megan Choate were second-team selection.

Connell senior pitcher Ashley Thompson, a former Grays Harbor resident, was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

First Team

Brooke Goldsmith, Elma; Grayson Corrales, Connell; Makenzie Norwill, Okanogan; Laura Hester, Cascade; Iris Rodriguez, Warden.
