Several former college and professional players and coaches are scheduled to be among the instructors at the Grays Harbor Football Camp June 29 at Hoquiam’s Olympic Stadium.
Designed for incoming junior high and high school players, the non-contact, skills and conditioning camp will run from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It will include drills, a mini-combine and a 7-on-7 tournament.
The camp is being provided by the Grays Harbor Youth Athletic Foundation — an organization that Dana LeDuc created to benefit Harbor athletes. A former strength and conditioning coach for several NFL teams, including the Seattle Seahawks and St. Louis Rams, LeDuc is a part-time Grays Harbor resident who spent last year as a part-time Hoquiam High School assistant coach.
Jeremy McMillan, another HHS assistant, is the camp director.
Other instructors include former Rams head coach Jim Hanifan, former Oakland Raiders defensive end Otis Sistrunk, two-time All-American defensive tackle Kenneth Sims from the University of Texas, ex-University of Washington and NFL wide receiver Dane Looker, former Seahawks offensive lineman Art Kuehn and current Seahawks assistant strength and conditioning coach Mondray Gee. Aberdeen High grad Guy Bingham, an offensive lineman and special teams performer for several NFL teams, is also expected.
Hoquiam High head coach Rick Moore and several of his assistants are also slated to participate.
Participants will receive a T-shirt and lunch.
